Aruba is known to be a relaxing island in the Caribbean geared toward families, couples, and individuals looking to enjoy pristine white beaches! Aruba can offer a calming experience but also exciting excursions! Here are five things you must do when visiting Aruba:
- Visit Flamingo Beach - Known for its flamingo attraction, this beach allows you to get up close and personal with the animals! If you're not staying at the Renaissance Aruba Resort a day pass of $125 USD is required to enter the island. The pass includes: a round trip water taxi trip to the island; lunch and a drink at Papagayo Bar & Grill; and entrance to Flamingo Beach and Iguana Beach (yes you can spot iguanas on the prowl!).
- Flying Fishbone Restaurant - Flying Fishbone is a beachfront seafood restaurant that specializes in Caribbean and continental dishes. The food is absolutely amazing (try the lobster tail) and provides an amazing view of the sunset. Book your reservation for 5pm to ensure you have dinner in the water and be sure to wear open toe shoes to avoid bringing back sand with you!
- KuKoo Kunuku - Aruba’s version of a party on wheels! With Happy Kukoo Hour you can bar hop to 3 happy hours, receive 3 complimentary shots, enjoy special drink prices, and have hotel pickup and drop off all for $50USD.
- ATV Ride - Most ATV tours can be booked through tripadvisor and directly through your hotel. Be sure to read the trip overview and view photos as some tours tend to be more challenging than others (trust I got kicked off the ATV due to its difficulty!)
- Local attractions around your Hotel - If you’re someone who loves to relax and stay local, there are many attractions around your hotel that allow just that. For instance, Barcelo Aruba is located on the foot of Palm Beach, and a 3-6 minute walk from Diana's Pancake Place, Gusto Nightclub Aruba, and more. Remember location is key!
